I’m Katie, an Austin home organizer and the founder of a professional organizing business. It’s called Settled In Soundly because that’s how I want you to feel in your home. I started this company because I believe organizing has the power to transform not only spaces, but also lives, and I love being a partner on the journey!

I trained with a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) before starting my own professional home organizing business, but my interest and inclination for organizing goes back to my childhood. I have always loved puzzles, color-coding, and design (organizing a LEGO collection would be a dream project).

I’m originally from the east coast and moved to Texas to attend UT Austin for college (B. Architecture + B.S. Architectural Engineering). Between my degree program and professional experience as a façade engineer at Arup, I have developed a deep belief that the quality of our spaces impacts the quality of our lives, and we have the power to transform both. Having moved across the country a few times myself (Maryland, Texas, California, Massachusetts), I also believe that being settled in your home is a key part of the foundation for success. With these two guiding principles, our goal as home organizers is to find the best organizing solution for you and your lifestyle so that we can transform your home into a space where you feel at peace.

We help clients in 3 ways - (1) for families moving to or within Austin, we unpack and organize their entire house for them, (2) for busy professionals looking to declutter and make their homes more functional we guide them through the home organizing process, and (3) for people who are renovating their homes or building new ones we offer input on how to make their new spaces more functional. With my background in architecture and architectural engineering, I have over a decade of experience in maximizing space, and can quickly bring ideas to life in 3D modeling software.

Overall we exist to help busy people organize their homes so they can feel settled in soundly, wherever that may be.
